Sardinia is for lover
The second largest island in the Mediterranean, Sardinia is surrounded by marine caves and cliffs shearing into the sea, providing in and out scenarioes you will never forget. Diving is just amazing because of water transparency and magnificent underwater sites. The good things You can dive almost all year round, but holidaying since early May, June or even until the end of September is perhaps the most pleasant.

However this is the sea swell now

Late in October until march you may have gusty winds  but you can always switch to the other coast. Be aware, if you are visiting Sardinia in July or August, you are in high season period, i.e. living costs are greater and … be prepared to be surrounded by international VIPs as well very normal people … we recommend you book your diving well in advance. September and October are still very nice … I recommend Tavolara area, where you may dive in different amazing sites.

After diving
Sardinia is culture, history, tradition and naturally also food. Sardinian cuisine is excellent: fish or meat as lamb are cooked in the traditional way.
All over you will be able to taste Italian food, with some peculiar Sard specialities. Sardinia is a safe place then why don’t go exploring this affascinating place … you may be able to hit some “agroturismo” place where food is strictly organic and quite convenient.

How to get there
Sardinia is well connected. It has three main airports: Alghero in the North West, Olbia in the North East and Cagliari in the South. Ferries to Sardinia leave from Italy (Genova, Livorno, Civitavecchia, Naples and Palermo) and France (Marseille and Corsica villages). Car hire can be expensive but ideal if you want to reach more places.

Giant statues, Tharros archeological museum

If you are booking a holiday it may be cheaper to book car hire at the same time. Archeologic sites all all over and goes behind thousand of years. I recommend to driving South in the Western coast and stop allong the way to visit the Nuraghi castles going at the Bronze Age. Don’t miss Tarros and its surroundings; a flamingoes reproduction site will amazed you.
